Shortly after Micromax launched its Windows Phone, Xolo has now joined the race unleashing its first Windows based smartphone. At Rs. 11999, Xolo Win Q900s will hit the shelves in July.
The Indian smartphone manufacturing company was said to have partnered with Microsoft earlier this year. Now, after its rival company Micromax, launched two Windows enabled smartphones, Xolo has also come up with its own smartphone which will make its debut in July this year.
Surprisingly Xolo’s awaited Windows based smartphone and Micromax’s Canvas Win phones have the same hardware, and the same operating system.
Windows Phones are taking over as more and more manufacturing companies are showing interest in launching their own set of Windows Phones. Further app developers are also showing interest in designing apps appropriate for the Windows Store. With the increasing popularity of Windows Phone in the last few months, Android and Apple may feel threatened. Nevertheless, it is now stylish to opt for Windows.
That Price Issue
Although Xolo’s latest Windows Phone, Q900s will make its debut anytime in July, the device is available for pre-order at Snapdeal at just Rs. 9999. The price of the same device is set for Rs. 11999. So potential Xolo Win Q900s will save up to Rs. 2000 on pre-ordering the smartphone.
So Light! Xolo Weighs Much Less
Although Xolo Win Q900s is strikingly similar to its rival Canvas Win, the phone weighs only 100 grams and therefore could manage to attract audience who are looking for light weight, yet fully loaded smartphones. That’s the striking feature of Xolo’s Windows Phone, in spite of being light, it is loaded with all the features anyone would look for in a smartphone running on Windows 8.1.
The Xolo Display, Processor and Memory
Further, the phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, so it is fast. Xolo Win Q900s sports a 4.7 inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is packed with a generous 8 GB internal storage, which can be extended to 32 GB and 1GB of RAM.
Capturing Your Moments, With Xolo Camera and other features…
The smartphone is loaded with 8 MP primary camera with LED flash light, to capture your special moments. A 2 MP front facing secondary camera is also available. Xolo Win Q900s supports dual SIM, which means it has two SIM card slots, so you can separate your private and professional lives easily. The device supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G also.
What Xolo Doesn’t Have
Running on Windows 8.1, Xolo Win Q900s will give you a brilliant Windows experience at a reasonable rate. You will have access to the exclusive Windows apps, and other features. However, Xolo will fail to provide the impeccable Nokia camera features, and other functions which Windows enabled Nokia phones have delivered. However, it is a great phone to start with.
To Sum It Up
When talking about Windows, Nokia is the first manufacturing company that pops into anyone’s mind. Nokia has set its own standards with its wide range of Windows phones and promising performance. In order to achieve that goodwill and reputation, companies like Micromax and Xolo will have to develop and deliver perfection. Having said that, Xolo Win Q900s is certainly a good start for Xolo to enter into the world on Windows and lure the Windows crowd.
